Jennifer graduated from Marquette University in 1993
with a B.A. in History (concentrations in Chemistry,
French, and English). After spending time in Colorado,
Chicago, and Portland, Oregon as a skier, health care
marketer, and health policy researcher, respectively,
she returned to Milwaukee and received her J.D. from
the Marquette University Law School in 2000. She was
an editor of the law review and authored: Comment,
"Creating Economic Incentives to Preserve Unique
Ecosystems: Should Wisconsin Adopt a Private Wetlands
Mitigation Banking Policy?" 83 Marquette Law
Review 625, Spring, 2000.
Jennifer spent the first six years of her practice
litigating various environmental issues, including
claims related to public and private nuisance, PECFA
reimbursements, toxic torts, and enforcement of environmental
contractual rights. She has also provided advice and
counsel to property owners facing various regulatory
issues related to the environment, including compliance
counseling and site remediation. Jennifer is focusing
her practice on the compliance and regulatory side
of environmental law, as well as supporting environmental
litigation matters.
Jennifer is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and
the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western
Districts of Wisconsin. She is a member of the Milwaukee
and American Bar Associations, as well as the State
Bar of Wisconsin, the Eastern District Bar Association
of Wisconsin, and the Association of Women Lawyers.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Urban
Ecology Center and is currently serving as its Vice
President and Chair of the Development Committee.
She also is a member of the United Way Emerging Leaders
