Marcie B. Cornfield received a B.A., cum laude, in Psychology and English from Washington University and a J.D., cum laude, from University of Minnesota Law School. During law school Ms. Cornfield served as a judicial extern to Judge Bruce Peterson, Hennepin County District Court, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cornfield was a trial attorney with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in Milwaukee and an attorney advisor with the EEOC in Washington, D.C. Her responsibilities at the EEOC included handling Title VII, EPA, and ADEA issues, including Enforcement Guidance on Fairness Issues in Mandatory Arbitration Agreements. Additionally, she reviewed proposed legislation, regulations, guidance, and policies to determine their impact on the EEOC’s statutory mandates and existing policies. During her time at the EEOC, Ms. Cornfield worked on a number of ADEA and Title VII pattern and practice lawsuits. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Cornfield is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin, and U.S. District Court District of Minnesota.
