Mark H. Hellmann
 

Mark H. Hellmann , Special Counsel, graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Physics and Statistics. He received his M.S. in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hellmann specializes in patent, trademark, copyright, computer, Internet and related anti-competitive law, particularly in the areas of litigation, mergers and acquisitions, as well as prosecution.

Mr. Hellmann represents and counsels clients in a broad range of standard and advanced technologies, from formation and organization of technology companies to the successful structuring and operation of electronic commerce. He has worked with large companies, as well as entrepreneurs. Mr. Hellman’s representation experience includes the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the United States during the WIPO Internet domain name and trademark proceedings in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Hellmann is one of the initial authors of the Internet domain name rules. He has also been involved in all aspects of intellectual property assessment and valuation.

Mr. Hellmann is a member of the National Science Foundation Converging Technologies Group, the Global Advanced Technology Initiative Consortium, and is a fellow at Northwestern University Center for Technology Innovation Management. He is active in three national bar associations and has held significant leadership positions in each, as well as having written numerous academic and popular articles.
