Stephen L. Knowles received a B.A., magna cum laude, from St. Olaf College, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he was a managing editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. Mr. Knowles has more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of employment law and defends employment-related claims before courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration panels. He also counsels corporate clients on discipline and discharge matters, disability questions, harassment issues, family and medical leave problems, wage and hour matters, discrimination claims, restrictive covenants, and reductions in force. He has prepared, negotiated, or interpreted innumerable policies, handbooks, and employment agreements. Mr. Knowles is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the American Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.
