Kerrie M. Murphy received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Iowa, and a J.D. from Drake University Law School.  Following law school, Ms. Murphy served the City of Sioux City, Iowa and later the City of Des Moines, Iowa as an Assistant City Attorney. Ms. Murphy is an experienced trial attorney having litigated in all areas of civil litigation including workers compensation, employment law and insurance defense. She has also successfully resolved numerous matters through motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, mediation and arbitration. Ms. Murphy litigates matters throughout the State of Iowa.  Ms. Murphy is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Iowa Defense Research Association, Blackstone Inn of Court and Polk County Women Attorneys.
