Miriam
A. Rich received a B.S. in Business Management
and Administration from Indiana University-Kokomo. Ms.
Rich received a J.D. from Indiana University School
of Law-Indianapolis, where she graduated with Order
of the Barristers honors and participated in moot court.
Ms. Rich has extensive experience representing clients
in tort defense litigation. Her experience also includes
representing individuals and companies in a wide variety
of commercial litigation matters. Ms. Rich has successfully
tried numerous cases before juries as well as to the
bench. She has prosecuted and defended appeals to the
Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court,
and has argued to the Indiana Court of Appeals. She
is admitted to practice before all Indiana State Courts,
the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern
Districts of Indiana and the Seventh Circuit Court of
Appeals. Her professional memberships include the American
Bar Association, the Defendant Research Institute, and
the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana where she is a
member of the trial tactics and in-house counsel sections.
She is also a member of the National and Indianapolis
Associations of Insurance Women, the National and Indiana
Societies of Professional Insurance Investigators, the
National Association Insurance Litigation Management,
and the Indiana Workers' Compensation Institute, for
whom she has served as a program speaker. Ms. Rich earned the 2007/2008 International Communicate with Confidence Award from the National Association of Insurance Women. Ms. Rich has
spoken at numerous seminars on a variety of legal topics
