Mr. Simmonds earned his B.A. in Mathematics from Yale College and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Mr. Simmonds practices primarily in commercial and general civil litigation. His areas of practice include employment discrimination, civil rights, class actions, products liability, and trademark infringement. Mr. Simmonds is licensed to practice in Ohio, the Sixth Circuit, and the Federal and Bankruptcy Courts of the Southern District of Ohio.
Active in community and Islamic affairs and development, he serves on the boards of the Yale Club of Cincinnati, the Greater Cincinnati Minority Counsel Program, the Children’s Law Center, and the Bond Hill Community and Urban Redevelopment Corporation. Mr. Simmonds also presented “The Internet as a Revolutionary Tool for Developing Nations” to the International Third World Legal Studies Association’s conference, Into the 21st Century: Reconstruction and Reparations (Cape Town, South Africa-January 2001).
