John
J. Williams received his B.A. from Suny Purchase
and his J.D. from Suny Buffalo School of Law where he
was Student Bar Association President. Mr. Williams
worked for the City of Cincinnati Solicitor’s
office for 12 years. While at the Solicitors office,
he tried numerous civil and criminal trials to juries
as well as to the bench. While working at the City,
Mr. Williams practice areas included employment and
labor, premises liability, personal injury defense,
general litigation, appropriation of property, zoning,
land use,and municipal law. Since joining Gonzalez Saggio
& Harlan LLP, in 2000 he has represented management
in various employment areas involving discrimination,
FMLA, ADA and ERISA litigation. Mr. Williams has also
participated in numerous AAA arbitrations and mediations.
He has also defended clients in personal injury matters
as well as contract disputes. Mr. Williams acts as Co-General
Counsel to the Greater Cincinnati Port Authority. Mr.
Williams is a member of the Black Lawyers Association
of Cincinnati (BLAC) the Cincinnati Bar Association,
Ohio State Bar Association, American Bar Association.
He is past president or chair of the following: Black
Lawyer Association of Cincinnati, Young Lawyer section
of the Cincinnati Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Foundation.
He is former Delegate to the House of the American Bar
Association. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Greater
Cincinnati Minority Counsel Program (GCMCP) and is on
the board of numerous non-profit organizations. He is
a member of Leadership Cincinnati. Mr. Williams is a
