Laurie J. Wiedenhoff practices primarily in the area of insurance defense, with an emphasis on bad faith, coverage, general liability, and property and casualty. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Employment Groups. Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Wiedenhoff was affiliated with a mid-size business litigation firm, where she practiced business and commercial litigation, including contracts and business torts. Her experience includes research, drafting and arguing motions in court, deposing witnesses, conducting discovery, and preparing witness for trial. After law school, Ms. Wiedenhoff was a judicial law clerk for the Fifth Judicial District of Iowa in Des Moines.
She is a member of the American, Iowa, Polk County, and Polk County Women’s Bar Associations, as well as DRI, Iowa Defense Counsel Association, C. Edwin Moore American Inn of Court (Associate), The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Young Professionals Connection, and the Junior League of Des Moines (Communications Council Member).
Ms. Wiedenhoff earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. She is admitted to practice in Iowa, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. LITIGATION and EMPLOYMENT
