Barbara Malone received
a B.M. from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of
Cincinnati and a J.D. from Indiana University
School of Law. Ms. Malone is a member of the Indiana State Bar
Association, National Bar Association and Marion County Bar Association.
She has
tried cases before administrative agencies as well as state and
federal appellate courts. Ms. Malone has served as defense counsel
for self-insured
corporations and insurance carriers for general liability and worker’s
compensation for over fifteen years. She has argued before the Indiana
Supreme Court. Ms. Malone has extensive experience representing corporations,
insurance companies, self-insured entities and government entities
in the areas of workers compensation, general liability and employment
law. Ms. Malone was appointed by Chief Justice Randall Shepard to serve
as hearing officer and judge in attorney discipline cases for the Indiana
Supreme Court. Ms. Malone was also appointed by Governor Frank O’Bannon
to serve as the consumer representative of the Indiana Medical
Licensing Board. She is admitted to practice in Indiana and the
U.S. District
Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
