DeVona Wright Cottrell received a B.S. in Political Science from Jackson State University, graduating summa cum laude, and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Ms. Wright has extensive experience in several areas of business transactions, including formation of business and non-profit corporations, acquisitions and dispositions. Ms. Wright has experience in other transactional areas including commercial real estate development and planning, contract review and drafting, bond financing and trademark prosecution. She also has experience in the area of construction law wherein she assists high profile owners, developers, contractors, construction managers and utilities in project development and the drafting and negotiation of large-scale private and public construction. Ms. Wright has lectured on selecting the appropriate form of business entity and estate planning vehicles. Her professional memberships include the State Bar of Wisconsin, American Bar Association, Milwaukee Bar Association, Wisconsin Association of African-American Lawyers and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
