Edward A. Fallone

Biography

Edward A. Fallone received a B.A., summa cum laude, in Spanish and Literature from Boston University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University where he was the Articles Editor of the Boston University Law Review. Professor Fallone is an Associate Professor of Law at Marquette University Law School.

Professor Fallone has extensive experience providing advice and counsel in matters involving securities fraud, shareholder derivative lawsuits, and healthcare fraud, including “whistleblower” lawsuits. He is experienced with the SEC and SEC enforcement defense, including FINRA and state insurance and securities departments. He has provided litigation strategy, brief writing, discovery support, and expert witness testimony on securities related matters.

Professor Fallone was previously employed by the law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, where he worked under former SEC Chairman, Harvey Pitt. He specialized in securities litigation and white-collar criminal defense for corporate clients, with significant exposure to a broad range of corporate and antitrust issues. He also wrote successful briefs at trial and appellate levels, worked extensively with both expert and fact witnesses, performed all aspects of pre-trial discovery, and gained substantial federal grand jury experience.

He has substantial experience representing corporate clients in shareholder derivative suits, primarily publicly held defense contractors, and also representing shareholders as plaintiffs in those suits. In addition, Professor Fallone has over 20 years of experience in securities litigation matters, and white-collar crime defense, where issues relating to the liability of officers and directors have arisen.

Professor Fallone is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. His professional memberships include the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, and Phi Delta Phi (Honorary Member).
