| Lara D. Engelking
received a B.S. in Nursing
from Indiana University graduating summa cum laude and a J.D. from Indiana University School
of Law. Ms. Engelking has worked as a
registered nurse and as a legal nurse consultant assisting in the
representation of physicians and hospitals throughout the state of Indiana. Following law school,
Ms. Engelking served the Indianapolis firm of Tabbert Hahn Earnest Weddle & Starkey,
P.C. as an attorney in the areas of defense litigation, medical malpractice defense,
insurance defense and health care law, including the representation of health care professionals before Indiana licensing
boards. Her affiliations include the following professional associations: American Bar Association; Indiana State
Bar Association; Indianapolis Bar Association; Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana; and, the
American Association of Nurse Attorneys (Indiana Chapter Vice President, 1997-present). Ms. Engelking has been invited
to speak before health care and business groups on the subjects of hospital liability and
medical malpractice. She is a partner of the firm.
