Houda Jarrah practices intellectual property and information law, providing counsel to clients on issues regarding patents, patent prosecution, and trademark law. She prepares and files patent applications for a variety of methods and products, including but not limited to, computer software and hardware related patents, mechanical devices related to positioning systems and lasers, cell phones, and other electronic devises. Ms. Jarrah counsels clients, providing analysis and recommendations for responding to USPTO rejections and objections.
She has successfully prosecuted patent applications and secured numerous notices of allowance from the USPTO, prepared and filed Responses to Office Actions, and appealed Final Office Actions. Ms. Jarrah counsels clients on non-disclosure and licensing agreements and provides employment agreements with intellectual property analysis.
Ms. Jarrah is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, DFW Women in Intellectual Property Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.
Ms. Jarrah earned a J.D. at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Law at the University of Houston, where she served as Jury Verdicts and Injunctions Editor of PatStats. She received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. Ms. Jarrah is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is proficient in Spanish, French, and Arabic.
