Laurie J. Wiedenhoff

Biography

Laurie J. Wiedenhoff concentrates her practice in the areas of auto and premises liability and commercial litigation. Her practice includes insurance defense, with an emphasis on bad faith, coverage, general liability, and property and casualty. Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Wiedenhoff was affiliated with a mid-size business litigation firm, where she practiced business and commercial litigation, including contracts and business torts. Her experience includes research, drafting and arguing motions in court, deposing witnesses, conducting discovery, and preparing witnesses for trial.

She is a member of the American, Iowa, Polk County, and Polk County Women’s Bar Associations, as well as DRI, Iowa Defense Counsel Association, C. Edwin Moore American Inn of Court (Associate), and The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Young Professionals Connection.

Ms. Wiedenhoff earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and her B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. After law school, Ms. Wiedenhoff was a judicial law clerk for the Fifth Judicial District of Iowa in Des Moines. She is admitted to practice in Iowa, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
