Elise E. Libbey

Biography

Elise E. Libbey has represented companies in a variety of legal areas, such as employment, intellectual property, corporate, bankruptcy, collection action and small claims suits, HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, privacy policies, contract review and drafting, radio advertising rules, and non-profit law.

Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Libbey served as in-house counsel to INET PC/WEB. During law school, Ms. Libbey gained experience as a law clerk for American Transmission Company, LLC. She also participated in the Clinical Extern Program in the Civil Litigation Unit for the Wisconsin Department of Justice and was a Pro Bono Service Legal Volunteer for the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic.

Ms. Libbey is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and was elected to the Board of the Young Lawyers Division with a two year term beginning July 1, 2015. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association, Milwaukee Bar Association, Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association, and Waukesha County Bar Association.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of the Domes and is active in the Eta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Michigan, where she is a member of the Advisory Board Committee, Facility Corporation Board, and acts as Finance Advisor.

Ms. Libbey earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she was the Managing Editor and a member of the editorial staff of the Intellectual Property Law Review and was also inducted into the Marquette Pro Bono Society. She received a B.B.A. in Operations and Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin. Ms. Libbey is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
