Biography

Natalia Minkel-Dumit assists clients on a variety of environmental matters, including remediation of contaminated sites; environmental due diligence for property sales/acquisitions; financial disclosure of environmental liabilities; export of hazardous materials; and air, water, and waste permitting and enforcement matters. She currently serves as co-supervising counsel on five Superfund sites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, and Alabama.

She also has experience negotiating various types of commercial contracts, including professional services agreements, sponsorship agreements, venue rental agreements, property lease/access agreements, information technology (IT) procurement agreements, and product purchase/sale/recycling agreements.

Ms. Minkel-Dumit has authored and co-authored several articles, including “Nonpoint Source Pollution”, The Clean Water Act Handbook, Third Edition, American Bar Association, 2011 and “Management and Protection of Environmental Contingent Liability Information Under FAS141R-1”, Environmental Disclosure Committee Newsletter, American Bar Association, December 2009.

Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Minkel-Dumit worked as an intern with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - Region 5, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Midwest Environmental Advocates. She graduated from Marquette University Law School, where she was a Thomas More Scholar and a member of the Moot Court Board. While in law school, Ms. Minkel-Dumit also received a CALI Award in Environmental Law, the Best Brief Award for the 2007 Jenkins Moot Court Competition and was a Semi-Finalist at the 2008 Pace Environmental Moot Court Competition. She received a B.A. in Environmental Studies, cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis and is proficient in Spanish and French. Ms. Minkel-Dumit is admitted to practice in Wisconsin.
