Kerrie
M. Murphy received a B.A. in Psychology
from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Drake
University Law School. Following law school,
Ms. Murphy served the City of Sioux City, Iowa, and later the City of
Des Moines, Iowa, as Assistant City Attorney. Ms. Murphy is an experienced
trial attorney having litigated in all areas of civil litigation including
workers’ compensation, equal opportunities and employment law and
personal injury. She has been the lead attorney in numerous cases that
were brought to successful completion as a result of motions to dismiss
or summary judgment. Ms. Murphy has also participated in numerous mediations
and throughout her career, she has conducted in excess of one hundred
depositions of expert and lay witnesses. She handles matters throughout
the State of
Iowa.
