Milo M. Vukelich is an experienced negotiator skilled in financial services, ecommerce, intellectual property, software and procurement matters involving information technology and related services. His experience includes hardware and software acquisition, licensing, and procurement; intellectual property licensing, and due diligence; asset management; software audits; privacy and data security.
Mr. Vukelich’s practice focuses on clients in the technology and financial services fields and supporting their legal needs. Projects include business process in-sourcing and outsourcing arrangements for various mortgage and financial services companies as well as “Software as a Service” (SaaS) agreements for large technology enterprises and advising on related intellectual property matters. He has extensive experience negotiating, drafting, analyzing, revising and closing complex technology agreements, licenses and associated schedules, statements of work and service level agreements, including terms related to hosting, disaster recovery, open source software and bankruptcy of a party.
He has been responsible for the worldwide intellectual property practice for small to mid-size companies and Fortune 500 Corporations, including patents, trademarks, data security and protection, as well as complex hardware and software negotiations. As a business professional, Mr. Vukelich has vast practical experience in project management, regulated industries, telecommunications, hardware and software licensing, IT consulting and risk management.
He has presented on such topics as electronic signatures in the financial services industry and on the effects of Section 365(n) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code on technology transfer licensing.
Mr. Vukelich earned his J.D. at the University of Wyoming College of Law, an MBA at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a B.S. in Broadcasting at the University of Wyoming. He is admitted to practice in the States of Iowa and Wyoming, the U.S. District Court, District of Wyoming, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the District of Columbia Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
