GSH is pleased to sponsor Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) in celebrating its 5th Anniversary of its annual awards gala, “Coming Together for Children Alone”. The gala will be held at The Allen Room at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on April 22, 2014. KIND was founded by Microsoft Corporation and Angelina Jolie to create a pro bono movement of law firms, corporations, nongovernmental organizations, universities, and volunteers to provide quality and compassionate legal counsel to unaccompanied refugee and immigrant children in the United States. KIND serves as the leading organization for the protection of unaccompanied children who enter the US immigration system alone and strives to ensure that no such child appears in immigration court without representation.
