Biography
Thomas J. Ludan’s experience includes work as a contract attorney for a large medical facility, ensuring employee benefit plan compliance with regulatory standards. He has also developed a working knowledge of Intellectual Property law, contributing to “Law of the Game”, a blog covering Intellectual Property issues as they pertain to video games, including trademark infringement, trade dress, “passing off,” copyright infringement, “fair use,” and piracy.
Mr. Ludan is a member of the Intellectual Property, International, and Young Lawyer Sections of the American Bar Association (ABA); Young Lawyer Section of the Wisconsin Bar and Florida Bar; Milwaukee Bar Association; and Dade County Bar Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ludan served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Michael Traynor, Seventh Judicial Circuit Court, in the State of Florida. While in law school, he was the President of the International Law Society, a Legislator for the Student Bar Association, and a member of the Moot Court Honor Board.
Mr. Ludan earned his J.D. and a Certificate in International and Comparative Law from Florida Coastal School of Law. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration, with emphases in Finance and Marketing, at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Mr. Ludan is conversational in Spanish and French. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Wisconsin.
