Biography
Jennifer Pflug Murphy concentrates her practice in the areas of bond finance, commercial lending, commercial real estate and general corporate law. Ms. Murphy has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, bank counsel, and borrower’s counsel in various tax-exempt and taxable bond financings.
Ms. Murphy also has extensive experience in real estate transactions, including the sale, acquisition, finance, condemnation, development, and leasing of real property. She represents sellers, buyers, lenders, landlords, and tenants. Ms. Murphy provides advice and counsel to private and public entities on major development/construction projects, including property acquisition, condemnation, environmental, drafting and negotiating construction contracts, MBE/WBE Initiatives, zoning, special use permits, and other governmental approvals. Her experience also includes drafting and negotiating various types of contracts and general corporate matters.
Ms. Murphy was selected as a 2011 Woman in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal for her outstanding achievements and contributions to the practice of law. She received her B.A., with a minor in Business Administration, from Marquette University and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Her professional memberships include the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the State Bar of Wisconsin. Ms. Murphy is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. She is conversant in Spanish.
