Biography
Jerome Coenic-Taylor earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law with Highest Service Distinction. While in law school, he served as Black Law Students Association President, Iowa Student Bar Association elected class representative, and National Black Law Student Association Midwest Sub-Regional Director.
Mr. Coenic-Taylor was a Summer Associate at Ice Miller LLP in Indianapolis and Summer Clerk with the Business and Professional People for the Public Interest, a public policy center located in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor’s of Art in Sociology and a minor in African-American Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Mr. Coenic-Taylor is an associate in the Employment Group. His professional memberships include the Illinois State Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and he is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois. He also volunteers with Minority Legal Education Resources and the Chicago Park District.
