Biography
Rohan K. Gupta is an intellectual property attorney specializing in patent preparation and prosecution. Mr. Gupta joined the intellectual property profession because it constitutes a perfect harmony of government, business and scientific interests in which each set of interests receives a benefit.
Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Mr. Gupta worked for a boutique law firm near the New Jersey shore, where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications for computer hardware, consumer electronic devices, cryptographic systems, mobile device applications, image and video processing software, rich Internet content applications, cloud computing technologies, virtualization technologies, computer security systems, medical devices, data recovery systems, industrial vehicle automation and management systems, and electronic device testing and manufacturing equipment. He has prepared patent litigation support materials in the form of claim charts and opinions regarding patentability, invalidity, and infringement. Mr. Gupta is also well versed in European and Indian patent law.
Mr. Gupta earned his Juris Doctorate degree, with an Intellectual Property focus, from University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center). The Intellectual Property curriculum at the University of New Hampshire is consistently ranked in the Top 10 of all law schools. He received a Bachelors of Science from the prestigious School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, along with a Minor in History.
Mr. Gupta is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey as of 2006 and the United States Patent and Trademark Office as of 2007.
