Biography

Ronald S. Stadler is an experienced attorney and advisor to his clients, practicing labor and employment law, education law, municipal law and related litigation. He regularly advises private and public sector employers on labor and employment matters. Mr. Stadler has extensive experience in collective bargaining, union contract administration, grievance and interest arbitration, wage and hour issues, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, discrimination issues, hiring and firing issues, plant closing issues, and health insurance matters.

Mr. Stadler also regularly represents school districts and higher education institutions on all aspects of education law. His experience includes student discipline, special education matters, section 504 issues, ADA compliance, teacher and administrator nonrenewal, labor and employment law issues, collective bargaining, grievance and interest arbitration, board policies and governance, premises liability issues, and Open Meetings and Public Records issues.

He is a frequent speaker and author in topics involving labor and employment law, education law, mediation and arbitration, and litigation. Mr. Stadler most recently presented “Labor & Employment Law Update: What’s New - What’s Trending” and “Always Changing: Updates on the Open Meeting/Public Records Law,” at the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation’s 18th Annual Corporation Counsel/Defense Counsel Forum. He is also a contributing author of the “Fair Labor Standards Act,” ABA/BNA Books and “How Arbitration Works,” Elkouri and Elkouri, 6th Edition.

Mr. Stadler is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin (Labor & Employment Law Section; Litigation Section); American Bar Association (Labor & Employment Law Section; Litigation Section); Milwaukee Bar Association; Ozaukee County Bar Association; and Wisconsin School Attorneys Association. Mr. Stadler is also active in civic organizations as well, including the Port Washington-Saukville Rotary Club, (President; Board of Directors); State of Wisconsin, Milwaukee River Revitalization Council; Ozaukee County Comprehensive Planning Citizen Advisory Committee; University of Wisconsin LaCrosse Foundation, Board of Directors (Executive Committee Member; Chair of the Development Committee); and University of Wisconsin LaCrosse Alumni Association (Board of Directors; Past President).

Mr. Stadler earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, where he was a Harry S. Truman Scholar. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Seventh and Eighth Circuits.
