Dinita James Authors “Yuma Contractor’s Lawsuit Against Micro-Units Over in 37 Days”
November 17, 2015
Dinita James authored an article for the November 2015 edition of the Arizona Employment Law Letter entitled “Yuma Contractor’s Lawsuit Against Micro-Units Over in 37 Days”. A government contractor in Yuma in the midst of a micro-unit organizing campaign took its case to federal court in hopes of avoiding what it called a “death of a thousand cuts.” U.S. District Judge Susan R. Bolton sent the contractor packing a mere 37 days after the lawsuit was filed. Nevertheless, this brief but intense litigation provides a revealing glimpse into the rapid pace and difficult challenges presented by this new organizing tactic.
