Michael D. Soto received a B.A. from Miami University, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Mr. Soto has extensive experience in the areas of workers' compensation and labor and employment law. He has represented management in all areas of workers' compensation law, including workers' compensation litigation before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, Bureau of Workers' Compensation Self Insuring Employers Evaluation Board, Bureau of Workers' Compensation Adjudication Committee, Subcommittee of the Workers' Compensation Board, Safety Violations Investigation Unit, Special Investigations Unit and state courts. He counsels employers on the development and implementation of effective workers' compensation programs. Mr. Soto has analyzed potential claim exposure, developed comprehensive long-term defense strategies and negotiated full and final global settlement agreements. Additionally, Mr. Soto represents management in all areas of labor and employment law, with emphasis on ADA and FMLA counseling in the context of workers' compensation claims. He counsels and advises employers concerning wrongful discharge actions and employment intentional torts. He also counsels employers on effective compliance with federal and state statutes.
