Jeannette M. Conrad practices bankruptcy, consumer law, and litigation, which includes foreclosures, replevins, subrogation, and collections. Ms. Conrad’s bankruptcy practice focuses on the protection and defense of Creditors in bankruptcy and adversary proceedings in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases, including but not limited to lien strips, fraudulent conveyances, and RESPA. In Bankruptcy matters, she has over-seen/managed a multi-state/jurisdiction bankruptcy practice. In litigation matters, she has managed a portfolio that covered the entire state of Indiana.
Her case management experience includes managing all aspects of cases in discovery, depositions, evidentiary hearings, mediation, settlement negotiation, and taking cases to trials in Kentucky and Indiana. Ms. Conrad’s Consumer Law Defense experience includes handling Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) issues, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) issues, TILA issues; Consumer Protection Statutes; contract disputes, insurance defense, and counter claims.
Ms. Conrad frequently presents bankruptcy seminars and training for clients. She has presented bankruptcy related topics for Lorman Education Services and the Indiana Bankers Association. She is co-author of “Bankruptcy Reform Sweeps the Nation”, Hoosier Banker and has a published case, Schlarman v. Hahn (In re Hahn) , 2005 Bankr. Lexis 133 (Bankr.E.D.Ky.2005). Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Conrad spent the majority of her career with Weltman, Weinberg & Reis.
Ms. Conrad is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Indiana, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the Northern District of Illinois. Her professional memberships include the Indiana and Kentucky Bar Associations.
