Albert S. Michalik is a registered patent attorney having experience in all aspects of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of software and hardware-related patent applications. Mr. Michalik received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif honor society. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics, graduating with honors, from De Paul University in Chicago.
Mr. Michalik’s prior legal experience includes founding and growing his own law firm in 1996, The Law Offices of Albert S. Michalik, PLLC, where he was the managing partner for over thirteen years. Prior to that, Mr. Michalik worked in the Chicago office of Leydig, Voit and Mayer, Ltd., as a registered patent attorney, where he also clerked during law school as a registered patent agent until graduation and passing the Illinois Bar. Before law school, Mr. Michalik worked as a software engineer at Videojet Technologies Inc., after working as an electronics engineer at General Instrument Corporation.
