Miriam A. Rich
 

Miriam A. Rich received a B.S. in Business Management and Administration from Indiana University-Kokomo. She earned her J.D. from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, where she graduated with Order of the Barristers honors and participated in Moot Court. Ms. Rich has extensive experience representing individuals and companies in a wide variety of tort and commercial litigation matters.

Her experience includes representing clients and their insureds in cases involving workers’ compensation, wrongful death, personal injury, property damage, and subrogation actions. Ms. Rich has successfully tried numerous cases before juries, as well as to the bench. She has prosecuted and defended appeals to the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court and has argued to the Indiana Court of Appeals. Ms. Rich is also a registered civil mediator for the State of Indiana.

Ms. Rich’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, DRI, and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, where she is a member of the trial tactics and in-house counsel sections. She is a board member of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, Indiana Chapter. Ms. Rich is a also member of the National and Indianapolis Associations of Insurance Women, the National and Indiana Societies of Professional Insurance Investigators, the National Association Insurance Litigation Management, and the Indiana Workers' Compensation Institute, for whom she has served as a program speaker. Ms. Rich earned the 2007/2008 International Communicate with Confidence Award from the National Association of Insurance Women. She has spoken at numerous seminars on a variety of legal topics including mediation practices and processes.

Ms. Rich is admitted to practice before all Indiana State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals Seventh Circuit. LITIGATION
