Brenda J. Robinson received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, where she was a student in the Honors College, and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, along with a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kevin J. Carey in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, Ms. Robinson was an Associate at a mid-sized New York law firm. She began her legal career in the corporate and transactional group at a Chicago-based corporate law firm.
Ms. Robinson works with the Corporate & Transactional Group at Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan. Her legal practice includes general corporate and commercial law, trusts and estates, intellectual property, trademark, copyright, e-business and technology, bankruptcy, real estate transactions, including commercial developments and residential acquisitions and sales transactions, and non-profit formation and operation.
She has drafted various types of intellectual property and copyright related agreements, including copyright licensing agreements, and work-for-hire agreements. Her practice includes trademark and copyright registration and licensing, trademark and copyright litigation, and intellectual property assessment and valuation. Ms. Robinson has represented numerous artists, musicians, authors, entertainers, and arts organizations in connection with issues involving contract negotiation and preparation, website review, non-profit operation, and trademark protection and enforcement.
Ms. Robinson is a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals. She is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
