Lee Young, Jr.
 

Lee R. Young, Jr. earned a B.A. in Political Science from California State University at Los Angeles and his J.D. from Southwestern University, School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Young was a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Los Angeles. Presently, he represents corporate and individual entertainment interests.

In 1969, Mr. Young was appointed to the General Counsel's Office of MCA, Inc. At MCA, he was responsible for drafting and negotiating record, publishing, composer, conductor, and day player contracts. In addition to the aforementioned duties, he supervised all outside litigation and was charged with the responsibility of setting up and drafting the first phase of MCA Distributing Corporation.

Mr. Young left MCA in 1972 to become General Counsel of ABC Records, where he was responsible for all legal areas of the subsidiary and its relationship to the parent company, ABC. In 1976, Mr. Young left ABC to become Vice President of Business Affairs for Motown Records, where he was responsible for all business and legal affairs, both domestic and international. In 1987, he was elevated to President of the Motown Music Group with full responsibility for Planning and Operations in both domestic and foreign markets on behalf of Motown Record Company and Jobete Music Company, Inc.

Mr. Young is admitted to practice in California, the California Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court, and U.S. Supreme Court. He holds active membership in the Beverly Hills Bar and National Bar Association. ENTERTAINMENT LAW
