David R. Saggio is a founding partner of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan. He is an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he received Order of the Coif honors. While in law school, Mr. Saggio worked in the Chicago office of Chapman & Cutler. At Chapman & Cutler, he participated in numerous sophisticated corporate financings and provided tax counseling to several of the firm's major clients. These financings involved over $2,000,000,000.
Immediately, following his graduation from law school, Mr. Saggio joined Winston & Strawn, a 475 lawyer firm based in Chicago, Illinois. During his tenure with Winston & Strawn, Mr. Saggio worked in the firm's diverse tax department. Mr. Saggio has participated in numerous sophisticated corporate financings and provided tax counseling to several major entities. Presently, Mr. Saggio provides bond counsel services to the City of Milwaukee for both RAN and GO issuances.
Mr. Saggio’s professional memberships include the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the U.S. Court of Appeals 7 th Circuit, and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Saggio serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Tau Kappa Epsilon chapter. He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian.
