Biography

Michael Mishlove is an experienced employment lawyer with an appellate practice. He has briefed or argued multiple cases on appeal in both the Sixth and Seventh Circuits and the Supreme Court of the State of Wisconsin.

Mr. Mishlove clerked for the Honorable Charles N. Clevert, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Honorable Walter J. Cummings (dec.), United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Honorable Ruben Castillo, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the Honorable Suzanne B. Conlon, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Mr. Mishlove is an accomplished author with many publications to his credit, including the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Lawyer (“ADA and WFEA: Differing Disability Protections”) and the American Psychological Association’s Monitor (“Video Conferencing in the Courtroom: More Research Needed”, “Courts Continue to Exclude Expert Evidence on Witness Credibility”, and “Second Circuit Increases Judicial Sentencing Discretion”).

Mr. Mishlove is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and he was selected as a “2013 Wisconsin Top Rated Lawyer” in Appellate Law and General Practice based on his rating.

Before joining Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan, he maintained a solo practice concentrating in employment, commercial disputes, and civil litigation. Mr. Mishlove also practiced at Foley & Lardner, where he concentrated in the areas of employment and commercial litigation.

Mr. Mishlove earned his B.S. and M.S. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Northern District of Illinois, and the District of Colorado; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Sixth and Seventh Circuits.
