GSH Obtains Federal Jury Verdict Against EEOC In Disability Accommodation and Termination Case

December 1, 2014

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed suit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against AutoZone, alleging that it violated Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act by denying a former employee a reasonable accommodation and terminating her employment. After a five day trial and several hours of deliberation, the jury came back with a verdict in favor of AutoZone. The EEOC was represented at trial by two of the agency’s most senior trial lawyers, Jean Kamp and Brian Tyndall. The Defendants were represented by Emery Harlan, Matthew Feery, and Michael Mishlove of Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP.
